McGill-Toolen won a pair of games this week, led by University of Arkansas signee Barry Dunning Jr. and Myles Murphy.
Dunning, a 6-foot-6, 205-pound senior small forward, followed up a huge night against Williamson when he scored 33 and grabbed 13 rebounds with 13 points against Baker on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets beat Williamson 70-63 and topped Baker 62-47.
Murphy, a 6-3 senior guard, scored 19 while going 7-for-10 from the foul line in the fourth quarter in the Williamson win. He scored 14 against Baker.
Bennett Russ led McGill with 15 points as the Yellow Jackets rallied for 26 points in the fourth quarter against Baker. Devin McCaine had 12 points.
Baker was led by Labaron Philon’s 23 points. Jayven Williams added 10.

Mountain Brook 58, Austin 57 (OT): Kyle Layton poured in 26 points and had 4 steals as the Spartans nipped Austin in Decatur on Tuesday. Mountain Brook led 23-21 at the half and trailed 38-37 after three quarters. The game was tied 53-all at the end of regulation. Ty Davis had 13 points with 7 assists in the win. Charlie McKimmon grabbed 6 rebounds for the visitors. Austin was led by Jalen Orr’s 18 points. Eddie Mitchell tossed in 10.
Hoover 55, Oxford 43: The Bucs outscored Oxford 21-9 in the fourth quarter, pulling away from a 34-all tie after three periods to improve to 7-1 on Tuesday. Salim London and TQ Richardson led Hoover with 11 points apiece. Christian Bryant hit three second-half 3-pointers in the win and Brandon Foster had 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. On Monday, Hoover rallied in overtime for a 78-72 win over Northridge. The Jaguars had come from behind in the fourth quarter to knot the score at 67. Northridge had trailed 31-28 at the half and 51-46 after three quarters. Richardson led the Bucs with 19 points. London scored 14 and had 5 rebounds with 3 assists. Jarett Fairley scored 10 and Brodin Grady tossed in 9 points with 7 rebounds.
Hartselle 52, Hazel Green 42: Ryan Dunn led a balanced Hartselle attack with 13 points in the win at home over Hazel Green. The Tigers got 9 points apiece from Kohl Key and Luke Ward, who hit two 3-pointers and three free throws and three 3-pointers, respectively. Thomas Itsede added 8 points in the win. Hazel Green got 9 points from Rashawn Knox.
Haleyville 66, Winfield 56: Drake James led four players in double figures in the win, scoring 25 points. Bryant James scored 15, Joe Aldridge had 12 and Max Wilcoxson added 10 for the 5-2 Lions. Haleyville went 2-0 in the HoopsGiving Tournament hosted by Plainview last week. In a 70-51 win over New Hope, James scored 28 points with 7 rebounds and 2 steals. Aldridge scored 10 points. The Lions also beat West Morgan 80-78 in overtime in the tournament. James scored 32, including the game-winning bucket as time expired in the OT. James scored 21, Rome Yarbrough had 10 points with 12 rebounds and Aldridge scored 12.
Spain Park 33, Clay-Chalkville 30: The Jaguars improved to 6-1 with the win over Clay-Chalkville on Tuesday. Hunter Herritt grabbed an offensive rebound and then hit a pair of free throws with 7 seconds left in the game for the final winning margin for Spain Park. A Cougar 3-pointer at the buzzer bounced off the front of the rim. Colin Turner led Spain Park with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Zach Gray scored 8 with a pair of 3-point buckets, the only points the Jags scored from beyond the arc all night.
Sparkman 67, Center Hill (Miss.) 52: Will Hawkins scored 18 points with 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks in the Lighthouse Classic in Corinth, Miss. Josh Price scored 15, Calen Lightford had 12 and Terrance Caselberry grabbed 10 rebounds.
Madison Prep (La.) 61, Grissom 54: The Tigers lost their first game in the Lighthouse Classic in Corinth, Miss., after six straight wins to open the season. Efram Johnson scored 20 for Grissom and RJ Johnson had 18. Darrin Thompson’s 6 rebounds led the Tigers. Madison Prep’s Percy Daniels had 21 points and 14 rebounds.
Decatur Heritage 56, Addison 54: The Eagles rallied in the fourth quarter to scrape by with a win, outscoring the Bulldogs 20-16 after trailing 38-36 after three periods. Brayden Kyle led the winners with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Bryant Pitts had 12 points. Bryan Gilbreath’s 23 points led Addison. The Eagles also beat Lawrence County 66-46 with Kyle scoring 24 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Pitts scored 20 and Paxton Tarver had 7 rebounds. Alandis Johnson scored 9 for Lawrence County and Houston Mitchell had 8.
St. James 58, Prattville Christian 43: Carson Roberson scored 12 points in the loss to St. James. Conner Williams had 11 and Camron Coleman grabbed 9 rebounds and had 4 assists.
Georgiana 59, Straughn 44: The Panthers improved to 4-0 with the win at home. Josh Sims scored 23 and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead the winners. Tremari Longmire scored 13 and had 8 assists. Nasir Cheatham added 10 points.
St. Paul’s 59, Saraland 57: Joe Brown had 25 points and 8 rebounds for the Saints. Garrett Walker chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Saraland was led by Desmond Williams with 15.
Cottage Hill 72, Escambia County 62: Josh Bell led the Warriors with 27 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Trent Thomas had a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Tyler Thomas had 10 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 assists. Sheldon Williams led Escambia County with 27.
Godby (Fla.) 88, Williamson 87: Williamson split its last two games in the Battle of Championship Borders. The Lions lost to Godby when Justin Brown’s buzzer-beater rimmed out. Brown finished with 40 points, 5 assists and 3 steals. The Lions beat St. John Paul II 74-49. Brown had 16 points, 4 assists and 2 steals. Allister Dixon Jr. had 11 points and 6 rebounds.
Robertsdale 50, Orange Beach 35: Katton Hobbs led the Golden Bears with 13 points. Joey Robertson led the Makos with 12 points. Chris Pearson added 10.
Pike Road 63 Marbury 42: Jayden Cooper had 29 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 3 steals in the win. Alijah Harris had 11 points.
Theodore 52, Davidson 46: Brayden Jenkins scored 15 points to lead Theodore. EJ Simmons also had 9.
Lee-Montgomery 73, Central-Phenix City 68: Chris Dillihay scored 18 points and Jakel Williams and Laneer Surles had 17 each for the Generals.
Murphy 45, UMS-Wright 35: Cameron Dickerson scored 12 for the Panthers. Arthur Chitty and Christopher Jones each had 10 for UMS.
Sand Rock 75, Fyffe 54: Sand Rock improved to 5-0 as Caley Garrett notched her 1,000th career point in the win at home. Garrett finished with 13 points and 4 assists. Katelyn St. Clair led the winners with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Lanie Henderson scored 17 with 14 rebounds.
McGill-Toolen 51, Baker 31: Junior Anna Reed McNeese scored 14 points and Lindsey Cox added 13 for the Yellow Jackets in the win over Baker. Freshman Albanie Dixon had 6 rebounds in the win. Paris Richardson led Baker with 14 points, with four 3-point buckets. Earlier, Williamson knocked off McGill-Toolen 44-30 as Shadonya Johnson scored 15 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and had 5 blocks for the Lions (4-2). Natalie Harris Hickbottom scored 11. Lindsey Cox scored 9 for the Yellow Jackets.
Lee-Huntsville 60, Athens 44: Lee improved to 7-2 with the win as sophomore Lamiya Batimba had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Jeniyah Silas scored 13 with 6 rebounds with Makayla Ford and Rahkiyah Taplin scored 10 points apiece in the win. Jakenadi Powers led Athens with 13 and Kaley McEven had 12.
Jackson 58, Blount 45: Jackson rallied from 14 points down at the half to earn the win at home. Tyra Caves had 15 points in the win. Naomi Jones scored 14 and grabbed 10 rebounds. Lakeidra Martin scored 12 and Jazmine Jones had 11 points.
Prattville Christian 65, St. James 29: Hannah Jones scored 27 points and claimed 9 rebounds in the win. Avery Rogers scored 17 and Coco Thomas scored 9 with 7 rebounds for the 10-0 Panthers.
Georgiana 50, Straughn 46: Freshman Lillie Boggan scored 21 points to lead the Panthers to the win. Angel Haynes had 14 and Alexea Bess scored 11. The Panthers are 3-1.
Baldwin County 44, Satsuma 28: Autumn Phillips scored 19 points for the Tigers (3-3). Kayleigh Boykin added 10.
Alma Bryant 50, Mary G. Montgomery 39: Avery Gray scored 16, Madi-Marie Grayson 14 and Mari-Margaret Grayson had 12 for the Hurricanes. Ivy Klezmer led MGM in scoring with 19 points.
Pike Road 49, Marbury 36: Jazlyn Johnson had 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Priceville 55, West Morgan 27: Reagan Watkins scored 13 points to lead Priceville. The Bulldogs jumped to a 19-7 first-quarter lead in the rout. Leslie Hames scored 11 points and got 10 points and claimed 7 rebounds from Lauren Hames for the winners. Shaylee Terry led West Morgan with 6 points.
Montgomery Academy 52, Alabama Christian 17: Chloe Johnson led Montgomery Academy with 18 points. Hayes Jenkins had 14 and Virginia Meachum added 13.
